Former CEO of FTX Back in custody. Sam Bankman-Fried, former CEO of the FTX crypto exchange, is back in jail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, after a federal judge revoked Sam Bankman-Fried’s bail, Saturday (12/8/2023).
In an official statement quoted by Reuters, the prosecutor explained that the prison sentence was handed down to Bankman-Fried because this crypto dealer disturbed a potential witness appointed by the court.
Former CEO of FTX Back in Custody. Not only that, Sam was also proven to contact several of his business partners using a virtual private network secretly to avoid monitoring.
“Bankman -Fried has secretly contacted several past business associates who have agreed to a tort agreement and are planning to testify against him,” the federal judge explained.
